BC electoral districts (ridings)
British Columbia elects 93 MLAs, one per electoral district (riding), by first-past-the-post. The riding-by-riding results and candidate pages will be published as the data is verified.
How BC ridings work
Each of the 93 electoral districts elects one member of the Legislative Assembly; the candidate with the most votes wins. Official district maps and boundaries are published by Elections BC, and official past results by Elections BC results.
The NDP won 47 of 93 ridings in 2024, a one-seat majority. Because seats are won riding by riding, a provincial poll lead does not translate directly into seats. See how to read the polls.
